This Privacy Policy explains what information CrawlOut ("CrawlOut", "we", "us") collects when you use crawlout.app (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information — your name and email address, whether you sign up with a password or with Google sign-in. If you use a password, we store only a securely hashed version of it, never the password itself.
• Website data you submit — URLs and websites you add to your dashboard or run a CrawlOut tool against, along with the results of those scans (e.g. SEO, performance, or structured-data findings for that site).
• Communications — if we send you a transactional email (verifying your address, resetting your password), we use a third-party provider (Resend) solely to deliver that email.
• Usage and device information — standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used for security (e.g. rate-limiting sign-in attempts) and to keep the Service reliable.
• AI features — if you use CrawlOut AI or the chat assistant, the questions you ask and any scan data you reference are sent to our AI provider to generate a response.

How we use this information

• To create and maintain your account, and let you sign in.
• To run the SEO and AI-visibility tools you request, and save results to your dashboard.
• To send account-related emails (verification, password reset) — never marketing email without your consent.
• To protect the Service from abuse, including rate-limiting and bot-detection (Google reCAPTCHA).
• To improve and maintain the reliability of CrawlOut.

Google sign-in

If you choose "Continue with Google," we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google, solely to create or sign you into your CrawlOut account. We do not access your Google Drive, contacts, or any other Google data beyond your basic profile.

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers that help us run CrawlOut — our hosting provider (Vercel), our database provider (Neon), our email provider (Resend), Google (for sign-in and bot protection), and our AI provider (for CrawlOut AI features) — each bound to use it only to provide their service to us.

Data retention

We retain your account and website data for as long as your account is active. You can delete a website from your dashboard at any time. To delete your account entirely, contact us at the email address below and we will remove your account and associated data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain uses of it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above.
